Correspondence is an ongoing drawing project between Karin Schaefer and me. After years of living on different continents we sought a way to stay in touch, and created a weekly conversation through the act of drawing - to each other - the drawings becoming the tool for communication across continents and time zones. The drawings are emailed and each one is a response to the previous one. Expressed only through line, color and form, a consistent vocabulary has emerged, a formal language of communication.
